I don't know what to sayIt's early, and I'm slightly on the left side of coherent, still
catching up from yesterday's thick passage. Sometimes, twenty-four hours
is not enough, and I want a smooth, pliant tunnel
to carry me gracefully from sleep to waking before the morning devours
me entirely. I have to remind myself this is birth all over again,
that each day we are spit out anew into the world to fend
for our lives. Forgiveness is essential; mistakes and pain,
unavoidable - the path is littered end to end.
And yet, we can't help it. We want to see it through.
This is who we are. This is what we do.
